I love louie and i totally agree with him. I dont mind people getting mad at things people say, but it enrages me when people say they should not be allowed to say those things, or they should stop saying them because people could be offended, or it could “trigger” shit.

I got in some trouble for defending daniel tosh on tumblr before. When he made that rape joke. I was never saying “rape is funny. Tosh should make more rape jokes har har har” I just hated the idea that because (depending on the statistic) one in  4 or 5 women will be reminded of something traumatic in their lives, that daniel tosh should censor himself so as not to offend.  The people that argued it promotes a rape culture, i was fine with them. I disagree, but i am fine with them speaking their mind and condemning him. But that arrogant american idea, that the world should revolve around EVERYONE, that the whole world should just stop, lest they offend or cause trauma. Everyone has the right to be offended, but no one has the right to NOT be offended.  Do you think i like that there are people like the westboro baptist church out there? do you think im happy when they protest and dead gay teenagers funerals? no. I fucking hate it. But i would never try and silence them. I will yell, and hate, and argue, with people like that. But we can not start drawing lines on what is acceptable to say and what is not. We may not be the best country in the world. Fuck. I know we aren’t. But freedom of speech is pretty well protected here, stop trying to make this country even worse by ending it.  By the way, to all the people that threaten violence to those they disagree with. NO MATTER WHAT the issue. Grow the fuck up.
